Argentina

Which city do you imagine has the highest concentration of theaters in the world? Possibly London? Or perhaps New York? In fact, the somewhat surprising answer is Buenos Aires, on the Banks of the Rio de la Plata. The capital city of Argentina is a delicious mix of high culture and carisma, with dash of traditional tango and a flick of contemporary nightlife thrown in.

It is the spiritual home of top-level polo, and the place where European architecture and Latin atmosphere combine to fabulous effect.
To add the appeal, its climate is extremely congenial. Summer runs from November until Februray, with average highs of between 24 C and 29 C – and property is great value compared with capital cities of similar levels of sophistication elsewhere in the world.
Rick Moeser; Senior Vice President of Chrisite´s International Real Estate, is an expert in the región.
In the early part of the century, he says, the city enjoyed an economic and property boom.
“Argentina was hot, and yet you could buy a magnificent pre-war building for a few hundred thousand dollars”.
“The lifestyle is great,” he points out, “and the quality of life is the best in South America.”v
What´s more, each of the city´s vibrant districts has its own carácter. Here, we take a look at the best of the barrios, and see what sets them apart.
